We are happy to announce that Wade Johnson has been elected a shareholder at Lommen Abdo.

An Experience in School Leads to Law Career

While Wade Johnson perhaps didn’t always dream of becoming a lawyer, he certainly has a knack for understanding the ins and outs of the law. After enjoying a legal studies course he took at St. Thomas, and with the encouragement of a professor in the Ethics and Business Law department, Wade pursued law school. His passion for litigation work came later, after working as a Judicial Law Clerk. Seeing the positive impact of a well-prepared attorney, who truly understands the issues of a particular case, and the impact those issues have on the client’s interests sold him on litigation work.

Resolving a Case Proves Rewarding

Resolving a case, whether through trial, mediation, or another form of negotiation, is Wade’s favorite part of the job, and he says it’s incredibly rewarding when everyone gets to move forward. He also loves learning about a client’s business operation and digging into the issues they are facing.

Motivated by Family

Beyond motivations within his career, Wade credits his wife, Tracy, and their four children as his biggest motivators. His family keeps him busy outside of work, as do his hobbies of playing baseball and paddling the Boundary Waters. In fact, several years ago Wade paddled across the entire Boundary Waters from Crane Lake to Lake Superior with seven other people in a voyageur canoe.

Wade’s law practice includes construction litigation, premises liability, insurance, products liability, automobile liability and more. Marc Johannsen, Lommen Abdo president, says of Wade’s new shareholder status, “Wade is a passionate attorney who we are proud to have as part of the team, and now a shareholder, at Lommen Abdo. His litigation skills along with his industry knowledge make him an incredible advocate for his clients.”
