Job description:
Job Title: Paralegal in Litigation. Must have minimum 5 Years experience.
Location: Hudson WI
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, versatile and experienced Paralegal with a very strong background in insurance and general litigation for our Hudson WI office. The ideal candidate will work with our litigation attorneys on a variety of matter types.
Duties Include:
- Depositions: Draft notices, prepare exhibits, etc.
- Trial Prep including lining up/assisting witnesses, preparing trial exhibits, assist at trial if necessary.
- Draft expert and lay witness disclosures.
- Draft discovery requests and discovery responses.
- Set up expert evaluations: vocational, weather, engineering, accident reconstruction, and provide all materials needed.
- Contact and interview witnesses.
- Assist as needed with non-billable tasks when coverage needed for Legal Assistant.
- Request Documents: Accident reports, medical records, imaging, work comp records, etc. and summarize.
- Assist with discovery, including managing responses to interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.
- Maintain organized matter files and ensure timely compliance with deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Paralegal Certification, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, with direct experience in general litigation MN and/or WI.
- Experience in drafting and filing litigation documents is highly preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, and court rules and procedures
- Experience with ProLaw software a plus along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines across various practice areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential client information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
Estate Planning Support:
- Document Preparation:
- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Assist in the review and revision of estate planning documents based on client preferences and attorney guidance.
- Client Interaction:
