This winter, Lommen Abdo bids a heartfelt farewell to two remarkable colleagues: Keith Broady and Janice Hanson, who recently retired after more than 40 years of service each. Their contributions, character, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting impact on the firm—and on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside them.
Keith, who joined the firm more than 45 years ago, brought a tireless work ethic, integrity, and deep legal experience to his practice. As a litigator, he was known for his thoroughness and success in complex cases. He later served as President of the firm during a particularly challenging period, helping guide Lommen Abdo with steady leadership and a commitment to its core values. He also contributed to his broader community through years of service on the St. Louis Park School Board, including time as chair.
Janice joined the firm over 48 years ago and quickly became an indispensable part of its day-to-day operations. Over the decades, she wore many hats: overseeing finance and billing, assisting with hiring and administration, serving as a paralegal and legal administrative assistant, and supporting attorneys and clients with grace and professionalism. Her dedication was evident in every aspect of her work. She wasn’t just a part of the firm—she helped shape it.
Both Keith and Janice embodied the culture that has guided Lommen Abdo since its earliest days—a culture rooted in respect, teamwork, and a strong sense of professional responsibility. They upheld a firm-wide belief that law should be practiced with not only excellence, but also with balance: making space for family, community involvement, and a meaningful life outside of the office.
As Bob Abdo shared, “We congratulate them on their many years of exceptional service. They have absolutely earned this time, and we wish them all the best in retirement. They will be deeply missed.”
