For the second consecutive year, Lommen Abdo attorneys have continued their commitment to community service by actively participating in the impactful event known as Pack at the Park, presented by Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). This event, which we were proud to be a part of last year as well, signifies our ongoing dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of those in need. Our involvement in events like Pack at the Park aligns with our core values, and we eagerly anticipate contributing to the community in more ways in the coming fall and winter seasons.

At its heart, FMSC is a humanitarian non-profit organization that channels its efforts toward providing essential nourishment to underprivileged children across the world who are not just hungry for food, but also for hope and support. By fostering a culture of volunteering, donations, and fundraising, FMSC makes a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of children, ensuring they receive the sustenance they desperately require.

The annual Pack at the Park event, held at the iconic Target Field, embodies the spirit of community and empathy. Here, individuals from all walks of life come together with a shared purpose – to pack meals for FMSC. This year, FMSC set an ambitious target of one million meals through this event, and with the collective efforts of our skilled packers and the numerous dedicated volunteers, we are proud to have made a significant contribution to this noble cause. In just two days, over $200,000 was raised and volunteers packed hundreds of thousands of meals for hungry children around the world.

Lommen Abdo’s unwavering commitment to community service shines brightly as a group of our dedicated packers, including Joseph Wetch, Beth Chapman, Heidi Torvik, Janice Hanson, Jessie Revalee, Chris Scott, Michelle Scholl, Brooke Raser, Kate Grenell, John Crawford, Marj Templeton, Kristi Henrichs, and Kelly Sofio, joined forces at the August 22nd event. Their hard work and dedication have made a lasting impact and further solidified our commitment to serving the community we cherish.

Brooke Raser enjoyed the chance to work as a team towards a worthy cause. She looks forward to Lommen Abdo participating in the event again next year and had this to say about the event: “Feed My Starving Children’s mission statement says it all: ‘Feeding kids. Feeding spirits. Empowering communities.’ By participating in this event, the staff of Lommen Abdo showed that we care about the millions of children who go without food every day and worked together as a team to help stop world hunger!”

Looking ahead, Lommen Abdo eagerly anticipates the fall and winter events that will provide us with more opportunities to give back to the community. Community service is woven into the fabric of our firm’s ethos, and we are excited to continue making a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.
